Daily Doodle: Titanic
We've been taking a look at the Titanic this week.
In the past, we've studied several sensitive historical events and rather than become overwhelmed with the depth of research possible, we're tapping into the surface of topics that lead to more conversation and various related projects.
We definitely could not overlook the size of the famous ship.
For Miss C, we took a little lesson in perspective drawing. We drew a horizontal line to indicate the ocean, while the front and back of the boat were drawn at varying heights. From there she felt confident to complete her oil pastel drawing and spent at least an hour getting the colour of the ocean the way she intended.
Miss O decided on a different route for her depiction.
She began with a detailed sketch, noting the difficulty of the deck rail!
She then transferred her sketch to oil pastels.
