Groupie

There are two things you can never have enough of when it comes to kids 'stuff'; books & instruments.

We're building our collection of both due to their play value.

O's first friend is part of a loving family we met in Shanghai.

When C was about to make her entrance into the world, we received several brightly-coloured packages from Korea...sent by these friends.

We tucked them into our Birth Bag as a special treat for the new big sister. 

Not only was there a selection of instruments...but it was the most unique selection around!

The Whatchamacallit

We have no idea what this is called, but the big sister figured out its function first.

When rolled, each piece of wood clacks in concession.

Love it!

The Woodpecker

This is not only ingenious, but could not have come at a more perfect time.

We had just been reading Thidwick by Dr. Suess which involves a pesky Uncle Woodpecker.

Slide Whistle

The same beautiful family previously gifted us with the hilarious Slide Whistle, which elicits smiles EVERY time it's used!

Colombian Clackers

A big sister gift from O's (and mine!) birth companion are straight from her home of Colombia. 

These seeds have been hollowed and attached for a clacker instrument.

Symbols Large & Small

Though we have an assortment of instruments in our colourful collection that are made for children, I really value the well-made instruments that will stand the test of time and can be equally loved by adults.
