O was ahead of the game today, as she was writing in miniature for our Sketchbook Challenge: "tiny doodle". I tore paper into small rectangles to encourage 'thumbnail' sketching.

 Tiny Balloon Girl

Working in miniature can be more challenging than working large scale, but it's a great exercise for the mind and fine motor muscles!

 Clever Inchworm

We followed up our work with a reading of Inch by Inch.
A lovely story from the creative Leo Lionni about an inchworm who saves his life time and again by measuring the bodies of birds.
