Zig Zag Rainbow Book
O loves booklets.
I thought she would go for this Zig Zag Rainbow Book (for our Colour Theme week) from 'Nurture Store'
http://nurturestore.co.uk/how-to-make-a-rainbow-zigzag-book
After I taped all the pieces together to form an accordian-style notebook, she insisted on tearing them into separate sheets again and re-taping them with green painters tape, sneaky Leprechaun style!
The green tape was a great addition and increased the colour pop!
Song Book Babe
She used it as a Songbook and started belting out tunes, whilst 'reading sheet music'.
EXPAND ON THE RAINBOW
ROY G BIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, iris, violet) I learned this while teaching a unit in my Grade Two ESL class in Honduras. A little acronym to jog the memory! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_G._Biv
