Daily Doodle: Chalk Shadow Drawing

Shortened Shadow

Teaching perspective, shape and form gets shaken up a bit with Shadow Drawing. We've attempted this type of art before, http://mamadrool.blogspot.ca/2014/09/daily-doodle-shadow-drawing.html
but this was our first try using our own bodies. 

Baby C worked very hard at staying still long enough for an outline of herself!
She was keen to be drawn, but it was oh-so-challenging not to move;)

I have seen Chalk Shadow Drawings of children on bicycles, which would be a great expansion lesson.
A collection of poses kept us busy in the backyard (we'll add our bicycles another afternoon!)
