Paper Magic: Lucky Stars
Our first year in China preceded our wedding date.
Adam had some spare time and spent a lot of it...
1. On his bike exploring the city
2. Folding origami stars, as per his fiancee's request;)
It is said that the more stars folded, the luckier the receiver.
My first jar of origami stars was gifted to me by friends in middle school.
All stationary shops in Shanghai sell the decorative paper strips necessary for folding these stars.
Every single member of staff in the kindergartens where I worked, could whip these up in no time.
Once you get the hang of it, they are easy and addictive (little math lessons)!

Baby C was especially smitten with her's, particularly after I wrote a big golden "C" on it!
