Pezzettino: Little Pieces of You

You cannot go wrong with the brillance of Leo Lionni.
Time and again, I fall into one of his books and it heads straight to the wish list.
Pezzettino is no exception.

Pezzettino- Reconstructed

All Pezzettino's friends are colourful constructions, but he is just one small orange square.
He believes he is a mere piece of something/someone else.
After some 'soul-searching' he finds that he is actually made of many pieces too.

At first, I gave O & Baby C each a large orange square and asked them to rip it into pieces.
Then they re-arranged these pieces to construct Pezzettino.
Once that was complete, we flipped over the page and used colourful construction paper to create a larger creature, like Pezzettino's friends.
