Elf on the Shelf; Amp up Naughty, Tone down Nice

'Elf on the Shelf' is traditionally used to threaten children into behaving around the holidays.
Less naughty = more gifts.
The commercial twist given to Christmastime.

We decided to take a different approach and have the Elf introduce a 24-day countdown of activities: bake cookies, donate toys, design Christmas cards..blah, blah, blah.
An attempt to evaluate the season for what it actually celebrates; peace and giving.

O however, seems to be impressed that our Elf was a little devil last year, during her debut.
For yesterday's return, O claimed Elfie was too tame and wants to see more of her getting into trouble.
"I thought she was going to climb in the jam jar and stuff like that?"

So I found myself at an ungodly hour this morning, writing messages in toothpaste on the bathroom sink.
More naughty = more fun.
