Vegan Bites: Date Flapjacks

To Canadians, flapjacks are pancakes.

To a Brits, they are squares!

This recipe reminded me of our British friends from Shanghai.

I converted the measurements, for Canadians!

Brit Flapjacks
~1c dates
~splash OJ
~3/4c butter
~1/3c sugar
~3T syrup
~ 1 1/2c oats
~1.5t spices

Heat dates and juice. Mash.
Melt butter, sugar and syrup. Remove from heat and add oats and spices.
In loaf pan, pat half oat mixture, top with date paste and remaining oat mixture
 Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
