Baby Mouse & Best Books

Real-life Mini Mouse is living just outside our house.
We actually removed her from the inside, but she started hanging out by the door.
We figure she is a wee orphan and supplied some milk.

Summer reading happens mostly out of doors around the farm and the most appropriate books for this time of year are the classic critter books. We have read most of Beatrix Potters material, but decided to borrow her books on CD from the library. They include her Nursery Rhymes: Appley Dappely and Cecily Parsley.

Palmer Brown is new to me, but quickly made the Favourites List!
We've read his tails of country versus field mice and like Potter, he brings critters and their adventures to life.
Also, like Potter, his reads are chock full of information about local flora and fauna.
His pages are brimming with sweet illustrations, which make the read appealing to the younger set too.
