Word Wednesday: Chain of Kindness Scavenger Hunt

If you find yourself spending a hoard of time cutting paper (Hello, Kindergarten Teachers!), you can be sure you are prepping a craft. In this sense, the definition of 'craft' is one that takes you more time than the child.
Though I shy away from 'crafts' in favour of the arts, this one was worth a try.

We purchase our beautiful paper from IKEA!
The packet comes in 10 vibrant coloured cardstock.
Coincidentally, it matches the colours of our masking tape collection.
This led to creating a colour-coded Scavenger Hunt.

Because we have two homemade maps, I gave the kids the option of 'Separation or Collaboration.'
Having multiple aged children learn together has marked pros and cons, but when given the choice, they often help each other out.
They chose separate maps, but gave each other tips and clues in passing.

They also collaborated on brainstorming ways to fill someone's bucket (aka Being Kind).
I wrote a list of their idea's and they copied them onto their heart chains.

Then they proceded to connect the links, making a long chain.
The links can be added, as needed!

Miss C decided that she would design "Bucket Dresses"
The one with hearts is a 'fill your bucket dress'. The other is empty buckets, upside-down.
