Vegan Bites: Hunger Bars
'Tis the season to eat sugar!
Mindful Vegan Meals caught our attention with the Hunger Bars recipe.
Some wee tweaking and they turned out yum, drizzled in chocolate.

Hunger Bars
~2.5c cashews
~1/2c coconut cream
~1/4c coconut oil
~1/4c maple syrup
Blend well. Until your motor starts to smell likes its burning!
Pat into baking tin and freeze.
~3c dates
~2/3c nut butter (we did a sunflower, tahini combo)
~1/2c coconut cream
~1/4c coconut oil
~1/4c maple syrup
salt
~1t mesquite powder
Blend well, if your motor still works.
Pat onto first layer, sprinkle with cashew bits and freeze 3 hours (helpful to wet hands here)
Remove and cut into strips/bars/diamonds with warm knife.
Melt dark chocolate in double boiler to drizzle or dip.
