Sun Prints

It has been so long since our last Sun Prints, everyone had forgotten this clever nature experiment.
You can purchase Nature Paper that comes in a thick black bag, which allows you to make relief prints with the help of the Suns light.

When we attempted this years back, I didn't think to use an acrylic sheet to hold down the nature bits.
This proved very helpful here at Windy Acres!

Mr. M painstakingly created a frame, to further our efforts of keeping nature in place while the Sun did it's bleaching.

After two minutes (enough time to watch the mallard on our pond take flight) rinse the paper under water.
This was another detail I missed during round one years ago.
This step prevents the light from continuing to bleach your paper, thus erasing your images.
Rinsing the paper also 'flips' the images from light and the paper to dark blue, leaving a beautiful piece of art for your Nature Journal!
