20 Days of Play: Felting Wool Beads

If you are at all intimidated by felting wool, even if you are a pro at felting wool sweaters in the wash, felting beads is a great starter project.
Simply fill a bowl with very warm, soapy water, rip off pieces of roving wool (unspun) and roll in hands, agitating until a solid ball forms.
If your bead has 'seams', add a loose, thin sheet of roving wool, dip in water and continue to agitate.

Once your beads are dry, you can string into a garland or necklace.

A dear friend came across this book and shared the title with me.
Such a beautiful read with several folktales from Central Asia; one including how the original felt was discovered.
