20 Days of Play: Maple Saplings

Keys from tree's are flying all over and rooting wherever they please.
We're totally taking advantage and potting them.

Super science actually allows us to see the key bursting below the surface of the soil, roots and shoots attached.

I love the little sapling gardener with the large maple tree in the background.

We started by using shallow trays, but that round of saplings didn't make it.
Now we're collecting pots for transplant, permitting more soil and water to these young roots.
