20 Days of Play: Flower Dissection & Anatomy

We collected and dissected a variety of flowers to take a closer look at their anatomy.
Stamen (long tubes with powdery pollen on tips)
Pistil (long tube within stamen, that reaches outwards from stamen)
Stigma (sticky tip of pistil. Receives neighboring pollen)
Ovaries (bulge at base of stamen and pistil, containing eggs that will turn into seeds when pollinated)

Then we proceeded with our Science Sketches; drawing a cross-sectional of the dissected flower and labeling it's parts.
