First Sewing Project: Two Ribbon Bookmark

The big kids are always pulling out the sewing machine with all it's knobs, peddle, lights and bobbing needle!
Mr. was ready for his turn to make something useful.
He must be listening to our sewing lessons as he knew where to locate all of the parts!

 Concentration

Here hand-eye (and foot!) coordination and a serious amount of concentration is needed to use the peddle and keep the fabric under the bobbing needle simultaneously.

Right Side Out

He insisted on two ribbons for his bookmark: hot pink and orange.
His hand was just the right side for right-siding it out, before sealing up the seam.
Bookmarks are a popular project around here as they use up fabric scraps, hold places in multiple novels going on at any given time, take approx five minutes to complete (instant gratification) and most importantly, sell for $5 each at the market!
