CD Rainbows

A week of rainbows and art, led us to learn about how rainbows are made.
Rain and sun.
Or CDs and a flashlight.
When you can't find a rainbow,
create one.

 Snowflake Pattern
We left out supplies on the table and let the kids explore.
After they adjusted their light source and found their rainbows, we added some snowflakes to change the pattern of the reflection. Thanks 'Buggy and Buddy'

 Traditional Arc

Once they selected their favourite pattern, we used watercolour pencil crayons to create our design.
If you buy normal pencil crayons, definitely make a switch!
Watercolour pencil crayons can be wet and work like paint on paper.
They traced their rainbows and then filled them in with wet pencil crayon to make some seriously stunning deisngs!
