Map Monday: Dead Sea
We're looking at Water as part of our Earth Week studies.
For Map Monday, we landed on a lake that lies between Jordan and Israel; the Dead Sea.
It also happens to be the lowest point on Earth and far too salty.
For a little introduction, we had a glimpse of the location, as well as an intro into it's religious history https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMQLypeyuHw

In 2018, the Red Sea-Dead Sea water conveyance project set in motion, as the Dead Sea is receding due to evaporation. Bringing water from the Red Sea via canal will mean freshwater and life for the Dead Sea.
