Anna Atkins: Botanical Ink Prints

 Miss O's Prints
Botanical India Ink Prints paired with our Nature Prints for Anna Atkins study.
These turned out to look similar to photographs, but have the same print quality as Nature Prints.

Rush outside and grab some specimen.

Roll your brayer in India Ink. You want it covered, but not dripping.
Hold the bottom of your specimen and make one stroke in an upwards direction over your specimen.

If you have toddlers, give them a spare piece of paper for rolling, as that IS the best part.
It's good to have loads of paper on hand. It takes some practice to get your best print.
You'll have to get a fresh specimen each print.
