Starting our week with a little woodworking/art/math and the introduction of parabolic curves; making a curved line with straight lines.

Variety of Triangles

The square design can work in parabolic curves, but also serves as a simple 'shape-maker'.
Challenge your child to make as many shapes as possible.

We attempted our designs on graph paper, prior to trying on our wood blocks with string.
