Sci Fri: Sundial & Chalk Rock Clock

Making outdoor clocks is all about the situation of the sun and shadows.
We have used our simple sundial on several occasions, so we started by searching for a spot where the shadow matched the hour.
Then each of the kids got busy making rock or chalk clocks and positioning them to show the time.

Afterwards we worked on looking at the hour as pieces of pie and sectioned off slices of the clock where the hour hand is indicating.
