Math Monday: Sizing Up Owls

Working in inches, we took a look at the height of local owls and compared them to, our baby brother!

The tallest, being the Great Horned Owl, which can reach up to 28 inches or just under Mr. M's armpit.

 

If you only own a few resource books, 'Smithsonian's Natural History' should top that list. It's chock full of photos and facts, but it's only a starting point to deeper research.
