Math Monday: Recording Temperature

Every January we organize an Ice Unit of some sort (last year was Ice Age, this year is Ice-speriments) and evidently I have not learned that when I plan for snow and ice-it's balmy as summertime!

Instead of depending on the out of doors-we're using our freezer and making ice non-stop in preparation for the weeks science activities. In the meantime, the kids are recording the daily temperature with the help of their hot/cold watercolour art.

After painting, I sent them on a scavenger hunt for the two thermometers hanging around the property. After some confused glances, they grabbed their camera and ran.
