Stewart STEM: Drainpipe Problem
In Stewart Little's infamous first chapter (that we have read to the point of memorization at the request of Mr. M), the Littles ask their mouse son to retrieve Mrs. Littles wedding ring from the drainpipe. We recreated this scene with our own supplies of ring retrieval equipment; PVC pipes, play dough, copper and paperclip rings, yarn, magnets, flashlights...
Intense business.
kThe kids concluded that to make life easier, always make sure your rings are made of metal so you can easily use a magnet to remove them from pipes!
