Slow Science: Snail Races
Taking
a wee look at snails, we wanted to discover if they move in a straight
line. We created a circular race track and Miss C suggested putting
dandelion around the edges to entice them to move. Then we placed our
bets!
Since they leave a mucus trail, it was easy to see their pattern of motion.
Apparently, they are interested in light sources, as a flashlight had them stretching high.
