Map Monday: The Great Lakes

 

We saved Paddle to the Sea for September Canadian and Native studies. It's about a Native boy in Northern Canada who carves a canoe  in hopes to send it to the sea via the Great Lakes. The story takes readers on the journey and the people that carve their town on the bottom before sending it off again.

We created our own Great Lake map with the help of the story as it describes each lake and it's resemblances
