Pine Landscape II & Bird Feeders

Continuing our pine nature studies, we learned another simple method for painting pines. Using oil pastels, choose several shades of green and blue. Draw vertical lines all over your paper, representing tree trunks. Make sure they are various lengths, showing perspective.
From the trunk, draw lines swooping horizontally outwards, gaining in length as you move to the base of the trunk. Makes feathery strokes on each of your branches to represent needles.

Choose sky colour of your liking for watercolour wash background.

We followed up our pine art with some seed feeders; nut butter & seed pinecones and cranberry hearts for winter wildlife.
