M is for Miro: Art History & Studio Study

We took a page from 'Vincents Starry Night Other Stories' to learn about Spanish Surrealist, Joan Miro, before practicing three exercises in art.

The first was a literal blind contour drawing, where we blindfolded the artist, presented them with an item and they had use their sense of touch to draw.

The second, a continuous line drawing offering a 'dreamlike' piece of work.

The last was to take a piece of cardboard, tear newspaper and paste it on in random ways. After an hour, return to the piece and see what images pop out. Outline the images you envision.
