Math Monday: Circle Weave

 

 

A little bit of Math + Art for weaving circles. Offer a piece of card stock paper. Draw a circle using a compass or bowl for tracing. Divide the circle into equal sections and poke holes with a large needle.Choose three colours of embroidery floss or yarn and three holes that will be 'bases'. Create a burst by stitching out and returning to the base.

Offer card stock paper and trace a circle. Mark a needle poke through the 12, 3, 6 & 9 stations of the circle. Poke a vertical and horizontal line from 12-6 and 9-3. Using 12, 3, 6 & 9 as the 'base', stitch to the center line and back. Repeat with 3 more colours.
