Egg-speriments: Silver Egg

Every Spring we hunker down with some eggs for Egg-speriments. We repeat oldies but goodies, such as Egg in a Bottle and have our Annual Egg Drop Challenge, but this year we added the Silver Egg-Speriment to our science studies.

Cover a raw eggshell in soot from a flame. The sootier the better the results. Once it is covered, place in a glass of water. The water repels the soot, giving the shell a silver gleam reflection.
