The Annual Egg Drop Challenge

In the Spring, we purchase a tray of chicken eggs for our egg-speriments, but apparently the favourite event of the week is what is becoming an annual Egg Drop Chal lenge. At the start of the day, each child is given a raw egg and has to create a 'nest' or vessel in which the egg will be protected when dropped from a high point.

The kids go to great lengths to collect their natural materials and weave amazing baskets and nests. They have yet to break their eggs and pass the Mother Hen test with flying colours.

They do so well in fact, that we have had to heighten the ledge from which the egg is dropped. Still met with success.
