Seed Catalogue Colour Wheel & Plot Planning

 k

Mid week we took our garden plans indoors to create Colour Wheels and Garden plots with the help of seed catalogues.

The smallest member of the clan is just as much a fan of paper as the rest. He waited quietly for falling scraps (aka roughage.)

We took a look at the colour wheels primary and secondary colours, which form two triangles. Primary (yellow, blue and red) when mixed in their triangle order, make the secondary colours (orange, purple and green). We used this as a base for finding flowers and vegetables  that would create a colour wheel.

Then those who wished to have their own garden plots this year, scrambled through our collection of seeds, before cutting and pasting pictures of their Garden Plan. The kids are really good about including flowers which work as amazing pollinators.
