Hieroglyphs & The Rosetta Stone

Our final stretch of study of Ancient Egypt involved learning about hieroglyphs and the Rosetta Stone. The Rosetta stone was located in Rosetta Egypt and allowed archeologists and linguists to  decode ancient Egyptian writing: hieroglyphs. We used some of our handmade papyrus paper to copy our alphabet in charcoal and the hieroglyphs adjacent. We noted that several letters that have similar pronunciation, also have the same images in Egyptian.
