Architecture Art: The Roman Colosseum

Utterly blown away by how quickly and seamlessly the kids picked up Architecture Art. We struggled to create a cardboard Colosseum, but when it came time to sketch, the kids went all pro on me!

We set out to create a small rectangle on a piece of watercolour paper. Within those boundaries, they took a look at an artists rendition of the Colosseum. We noted some of the ways that the artist made the work look three dimensional. We reviewed how all art is simple shapes broken down..and they were off to the races.
