Skull Art: Prints & Paint (Skeletal Structure)


Everybody at our house likes a little opportunity to get their hands dirty with art. Print-making is a go-to and fan favourite. It can easily be included in any topic studies. We kept our topic as 'Skull' to see what we could come up with.

We took a look at the skull with some spooky art: face painting; noting the sockets for eyes and the gap where the nose would be as it is made out of cartilage, not bone. Then we discussed x-ray and used an old x-ray of Dad's to take a look at what we could identify: ribcage, spine/vertebrate, collarbone,
