Egg-speriments: Egg Rocket

As the kids become more skilled, we're able to hand over supplies and a challenge and watch them work. The start of Egg-speriment week involved using a string (yarn, fishing line, embroidery thread), a balloon and a plastic egg to see how far you could shoot the plastic egg down it's 'zipline.' They didn't waste a second...

Some figured out that yarn was too bulky for a smooth ride. Others learned that gravity could help if the string was adjusted just so. Some were massively successful without a terrible amount of effort! Once they were prepared to launch, we gave them two rounds to give it their best shot and measured the results.
