Egg-Speriments: Glowing Egg

The magical glowing egg was a two part experiment. Initally, we soaked a raw egg in vinegar for around 40 hours, making sure it was immersed. The acid broke down the shell, leaving a strong membrane in it's place (and a bouncy ball!)

When we placed the egg on a jar covered in plastic and shone a flashlight on it, it appeared to glow in the dark!

We followed up with our favourite scientists at Operation Ouch! to teach about membranes.
