In our house, we have a fan of Medieval weaponry and defense. On her own, she created a miniature version of chainmail by winding copper wire around a bolt, slicing up the center and using the cut rings to link into a weave. She walked us through a demo of her work and explained how it was useful and how the original chainmail would have differed from her version.
