Medieval Europe: Knights

Following our week studies of Castles & Defenses, we decided to delve into the world of knights. We began with a little trip to a mock Jousting Tournament at Medieval Times. We were even fortunate enough to watch a live falcon perform with his trainer.

Then we sketched a knights armor and labeled the parts. We also took a look at two famous groups of knights: The Knights Templar and Order of the Knights.

We tried our hand at Javelin throwing and using bows and arrows for a mini session of Knight Training.
