Monster Trucks: Identifying Tracks

 

 

An assortment of trucks were selected for their unique track marks, so we could set up an Identifying Tracks activity. We made some mud for the first activity, simply straight lines in which you had to match the truck with the track. 

 

The second activity was geared to police tracking, where the front and back wheels were painted different colours to emphasize the trucks driving patterns: straight lines, three point turns and doughnuts.

Lastly, we made several tracks in playdough and kinetic sand for matching.
