Beach

 

Summer schedule winds down a wee bit. We carry on with our morning rhythm, but incorporate extra art and outdoor while combining our weekend activities with our weekly projects. Last summer, the big kids created Summer 'Zines; little magazines to collect all of the memories of July and August, compiling all of their work into one resource.

 

After a morning at the beach, we set to work with a Faber-Castell 'Beach' chalk tutorial. Miss C is an avid artist and on any given day, several thousand of her tiny sketches show up all over the house. I had a rare chance to sit down with her alone so we could create art together. The photo above is of her finished piece. The photos below are our resident beach bum.
