Mushrooms: Anatomy & Life Cycle

 

Starting our Mushroom Studies with some science for our fun-guys and fun-gals;) We listened to a reading of 'We Are Fungi' followed by an anatomy lesson courtesy of Butterfly Garden Preschool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPTNnbJhlfQ

For an introduction into the life cycle of mushrooms, we visited Milkwood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPis8aZRgCg

Afterwards we tucked into some mushroom reading, both online and from books we've collected in our home library. From there, the kids were able to create their chalk pastel drawings of Parts of a Mushroom and Life Cycle of a Mushroom.
