Mushrooms: Gingerbread Toadstools

If you like to bake and you love beautiful photography-head over to Twigg Studio! Aimee does not disappoint! We took a page from her Toadstool Gingerbread and created little mushroom cookies.

1/3c butter

1/2c sugar

 Cream and add...

1/4c syrup

2 3/8c flour

1t baking powder

2t cinnamon, ginger

1/8t nutmeg 

pinch salt

Mix dry and add to wet. 

1T plant milk

 Add milk to get smooth but solid dough.

We added 3-5T plant milk due to spelt flour absorption.

The dough should be smooth and not crumbly, but fairly firm so the cookies hold shape. Roll and shape caps and stems separately.

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
