Orangutans: Ginger Juice

 

Berani, the captive orangutan, was the true main character of Michelle Kadarusman novel. The kids recreated the beautiful cover illustration with chalk pastel as we dove into studies about orangutans our other primate cousins who share 97% of our DNA.

We learned about orangutan orphans in captivity due to the palm oil deforestation. Greenpeace petitioned against the industry by hiring a team to create this 90second ad Rang-Tan.

We also took a look at Orangutan Jungle Schools where Indonesian natives spend their days preparing young orangutans for immersion back into the wild, after they are rescued from captive situations.

We couldn't study apes without taking a look at the like of Jane Goodall.
