Survival Study: Healing Plants (Poultices, Tinctures & Decoctions)

After learning how to make a poultice, we took a look at healing plants, in the event that one isn't prepared with a first aid kit in the wild. Then the kids were assigned to choose several local plants and create a pamphlet-style presentation about their uses.

We followed up with a game of WildCraft; it combines adventure and learning how to deal with situations in the wilderness.
