Survival Study: Raft Challenge

 

Saving the best for last, we completed our Survival Studies with the Raft Challenge.  Originally, each child was set to design and build a miniature raft that could withstand the weight of three sizes of stone. The key was to use natural materials, as you would find in the wild.

Then we decided that we should 'max it out' and create a large raft that could carry a person...

...or two....

...or three...

And they ended the evening with another night of camping under the stars...with the loud frogs!
