Magnets: Viscosity

 

Mom: "Can anyone tell me what viscosity means?"

Child: "Slow downer-tacation"

Set out two jars, one filled with water, the other with honey. (You can set out jars with more liquids, such as dish soap, oil, corn syrup, maple syrup etc.)

Drop a couple of paper clips into each jar.

Use a strong magnet to try to draw the paperclips out of each jar. Note the differences.
