Vegan Bites: Butter Candles & Bread

 

Bringing the firelight to the magical study of witches, we found this idea for Butter Candles. Since the kids each made their own, we opted for tiny molds (mini tea cups). The idea is to blend herbs and spices that work well together, melt them with butter and pour into your mold with a wick. To secure our wick, we tied and twirled it around a chopstick that rested on the cup lip.

Some chose savory (garlic, sage, salt) while others chose sweet (rosebuds, cinnamon, sugar).

Because our butter is super soft, we had to freeze it before popping it out of the mold.
