Viking Study: Scandinavia Map-Making

 

Starting off our year and unit studies with Scandinavia circa 770AD; the Viking Era. We weathered some paper before painting a map of Scandinavia to include Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

First make a strong tea or coffee to soak your paper. You can make burn and soot marks (for those comfy with fire). Our eldest loves to use lemon juice and bake her paper on high heat.
